Resilience of the Digital Economy

APPG – sponsored by the IoCR.

Hosted by, the 695th Lord Mayor of London, Michael Mainelli

At the APPG’s reception in the Palace of Westminster’s Churchill room

On the 25th September, we had the privilege of being joined by 695th Lord Mayor of London (elect at the time) Michael Mainelli who talked us through some of the priorities for the City of London during his tenure, including the requirements to improve the City’s response to threats identified at our earlier session and that Michael had himself spoken on many an occasion.

Introducing the session, intended as an opportunity for the nascent IoCR community to network with their peers, Andrew Churchill, Thought Leadership stream lead, opened up proceedings before handing over to Dr Ruth Wandhofer who emphasised the importance of regulators, including the City of London Corporation, keeping abreast of technological developments and their impact on society and the relation between individual users, Big Tech, and the myriad smaller players coming through who were already and increasingly changing the way that we interact with each other whether, B2B, C2C, C2B or C2G.
